Basic Fare is a minimum fare sold by Ryanair, which comprises the cheapest ticket but with only a few additional features. In this fare, one small cabin bag, which needs to be placed under the seat, is permitted. They do not include seat choice and baggage. At the check-in, you are allocated an assigned seat randomly unless you reserve a seat payment.

These bundles typically include reserved seating, priority boarding, fast‑track or security‑lane access, and more generous baggage allowances depending on the package.
With upgrades you can choose Ryanair seats such as extra legroom, exit‑row or front‑row seats, which offer noticeably more space and comfort, especially on longer flights. There is also extra legroom or exit-row seats are usually provided with overhead locker access, rather than underneath-seat access. So, you do not have to store their bags under their feet.
The upgrade prices are dependent on routes, seat position, and demand. The minimum additional price is the reserved standard, which is a higher price, and front-row or extra-legroom seats are even more expensive.

Desk opening times vary by airport, but Ryanair’s desks usually open no later than 2 hours before departure and close 40 minutes before the flight.
