Gulf Air (GF)
Gulf Air is the principal flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Headquartered in Muharraq, adjacent to Bahrain International Airport, the airline operates scheduled services to 45 destinations in 28 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. Its main base is Bahrain International Airport. and major destinations include London, Paris, Dubai and Mumbai. The airline intends to be a niche player in the Middle-East market and therefore targets budget travellers as its core audience. Though the airline has not joined any alliance but is part of the One World Global Explorer Fare. Gulf Air has also forged special partnerships with Jet Airways and Oman Air to extend its reach in international markets.
Gulf Air is on the cutting edge with free service dedicated to young travellers, the Sky Nanny, Sleeper Seats in First and Business Class and Sky Chefs introduce a fine dining experience. Four-course meals and complimentary drinks (including wine, beer and spirits) are served in Economy Class, which gives you some indication of how good Gulf Air's in-flight offerings are. In Business and First Class, the meals are even more extravagant. Passengers can order anything from the menu at any time during the flight.
Gulf Air operates to their hubs at Muscat, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi from both London and Manchester.
