Jet Airways Introduces new boeing 737-800 with Sky Interior for enhanced flying experience

Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, announced the arrival of its first next generation Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interior. The induction of the new state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 into Jet Airways' young fleet is in keeping with the airline's commitment to continually innovate and differentiate its product for a heightened in-flight experience.

The all new Boeing 737-800 is replete with the very latest Boeing 787 inspired shape, colour, décor and texture, all of which make for a truly unmatched flying experience. The minute the guest steps onboard the aircraft, he/she is greeted by the all new Sky Interior, complete with new cove lighting and a curved cabin architecture that provides a feeling of openness and space.

The bright new colour and décor of the aircraft with modern, sculpted sidewalls and larger windows, combined with the effect of the light-emitting diode (LED) lighting significantly enhances the sense of spaciousness in the cabin. That aside, the dynamic and brighter LED lighting can portray different colour schemes like a soft blue sky and a relaxing pallet of sunset colours, while providing for maximum efficiency and lower maintenance costs.

 

 

 

 

 
Another feature that will most definitely be appreciated by guests are the new pivot bins, which afford greater overhead bin capacity for storage. New improved passenger service units and a significantly quieter cabin also add to the comfort of the guests. In addition to this, the new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft also possess superior on board, sound quality and clarity through new speakers that have been improved in each passenger row.

Jet Airways took delivery of the first of these 11 new next generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be inducted into the airline's fleet this month, with the balance such aircraft to be delivered between October 2011 and March 2013. Of the 11 new aircraft, 2 Boeing 737 – 800 will have 16 Première and 138 Economy Class seating configuration complete with Jet Airways world-class in-flight entertainment system. The remaining 9 Boeings will a have 8 Premiere and 162 Economy Class seating configuration.

Commenting on the acquisition of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said "The Boeing 737 has been an essential part of our product offering in the past and Jet Airways selected the next generation state-of-the art Boeing 737-800 aircraft because of its high degree of operational flexibility and economy.

These new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft will also possess better economy, given the fact that they will have over 1 per cent less fuel burn, compared to the airline's fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.
