Mauritius gains welcomed support from Emirates

In an important move to support the growing number of tourists to Mauritius, Emirates airline will introduce two additional flights between Dubai and the Paradise Island, escalating the service to 11 weekly flights.

The 10th frequency will be launched on 4th November while the 11th weekly flight will start on 6th December, increasing existing capacity by 22% per week per direction.

Mauritius is a fascinating, world-in-one-island slice of paradise. Its very name of conjures up images of tropical luxury and stupendous extravagance. "Emirates will work hand in hand with the Ministry of Tourism and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority to develop marketing campaigns to promote Mauritius across our strong global network. We will concentrate our efforts to increase the visibility of Mauritius in new and developing markets," added Mr. Mualla.

"We value our partnership with Emirates and welcome the announcement of the additional flights. We look forward to develop joint campaigns so that both parties may benefit fully from this partnership," said Robert Desvaux, Chairman of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.

The increasing number of GCC based tourists to Mauritius will welcome the enhanced capacity to one of their favourite holiday destinations as they will have more travel options and better connectivity.

EK 3705 will take off from Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport at 10:15 hrs and touch down at SSR International Airport in Mauritius at 16:55 hrs. It will turn around as EK 3706, departing Mauritius at 18:20 hrs and arriving in Dubai at 01:10 hrs the following day. The two additional flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays.
